The Sustainable Fisheries Management BU deploys its solutions in the following areas
- Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS), electronic logbooks, control centers
- The fight against illegal, unreported, and unregulated fishing
- Supporting artisanal fishing
- Supporting industrial fishing operations
Le poste
Based within the "Solutions and Innovations" Team of the Sustainable Management of Fisheries Business Unit, the Fisheries Expertise team maps data of interest to various fisheries stakeholders (fishing authorities, industrial fishing vessels, artisanal fishermen, fisheries researchers, etc.). These exclusives data are made available to our industrial fishing customers through our fishing software CATSAT.
Within the framework of your functions, your main responsibilities will consist of:
- Doing fishing recommendations each day for our customers (mainly tuna purse-seiners and industrial longliners)
- Presenting our solutions to fishermen and training them on how to use our solutions in their daily work routine
- Supporting their activity by answering any question related to our core expertise, the oceanography
During your first six months, you will be based in Toulouse (south of France). After this training period, you will be based in one of our subsidiaries either in Indonesia or Australia.
Profil recherché
- You have a master's degree in fisheries, or oceanography, and have proven experience in one of these fields.
- Passionate about fisheries, curious and creative, you're keen to imagine tomorrow's solutions to the environmental and economic challenges facing the fishing industry.
- Educationalist and able to share knowledge through trainings.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Fluency in either simplified Chinese or Korean is also required.
Your dynamism, rigor and method, autonomy, capacity for innovation and adaptation, and affinity for teamwork will be the assets for success in this position.
