Fisheries Support Officer - H/F

London

L'entreprise

CLS, a subsidiary of CNES and CNP, is a company with an international remit, and has been a pioneer in the provision of Earth observation and monitoring solutions since 1986.

Its vision is to devise and deploy innovative solutions to understand and protect our planet and manage its resources sustainably.

As the long-standing operator of the Argos beacons, CLS – with over 1,200 employees worldwide, across nearly 41 sites in 20 countries, and an annual turnover of nearly 220 million euros in 2025 – ranks among the leading specialists in satellite services, utilising the most advanced space technologies combined with software engineering and data science.

The company operates in five strategic business sectors:

  • sustainable fisheries management,
  • environmental and climate monitoring,
  • maritime safety,
  • mobility,
  • energy and infrastructure.

In particular, the company provides satellite services based on:

  • the tracking and collection of environmental data (200,000 transmitters are processed each month, including drifting buoys, transmitters fitted to animals, fishing fleets and merchant vessels, etc.),
  • the observation of oceans and inland waters (more than 20 instruments, carried on board satellites, provide CLS with daily information on the world’s seas and oceans),
  • and the monitoring of land and maritime activities (nearly 20,000 radar and optical images and several hundred hours of flight time recorded by drones are processed and analysed each year).
